Workforce Systems Improvement Committee:
This Committee shall be responsible for making policy recommendations to the SFWIB on the matters assigned to it by the Chair or, in the event of a vacancy in the office of the Chair, by the Vice Chair. This Committee shall develop policy recommendations to the SFWIB in the following areas:
Workforce policy and service delivery strategies for SFWIB programs, including, but not limited to, Welfare Transition, WIA, Food Stamp Employment and Training (FSET), and Wagner-Peyser programs such as Veterans, and Job Corps.
When developing the Committee’s policy recommendations to the SFWIB the Committee may: review the research for best practices that will enhance and improve the SFWIB’s Center system; review the procurement policies of the SFWIB with respect to the employment issues of Career Center customers; and obtain community input into the planning process of the SFWIB .
Focus:
The focus of this committee is to enhance service delivery and program integration within the Career Centers.
Objectives:
• Design workforce policies to integrate and/or enhance service delivery within the Career Centers.
• Development and alignment of CSSF’s strategic performance standards to the State’s negotiated performance standards.
• Development of Educational Scholarship (ITA) policies.
• Development of the policy structure / service strategies for CSSF’s Request for Proposals (RFPs).
