Summary
The CareerSource South Florida assists youth and young adults between the ages of 14-21 to continue their education and training in order to advance their skills and pursue the best jobs possible. In-School and Out-Of-School programs are coordinated youth program partners. Some of the services offered through our Youth Programs include: comprehensive assessment and career guidance / planning, leadership development opportunities, life skills, work readiness training, work experience and internships.
In-School Youth Program:
Our In-School Youth Program (ISY) offers young adults who are enrolled in school and are between the ages of 14 and 21, a wide variety of academic and employment related services. The In-School Youth Program provides participating students with services that include, but are not limited to: counseling, academic tutoring, leadership development activities, school year internships, paid summer work experience, and many other resources that remedy the factors that put them at risk. Out-of-School Programs:
Our Out-of-School Youth Program (OSY) assists young adults between the ages of 16 to 24, who have either dropped out of school or have graduated from high school, but are in need of employment, training to prepare for the workplace, or are exploring career paths. For a list of OSY program partners.
Job Corps
Job Corps is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive residential and non-residential education and career training program for young adults ages 16 through 24. Job Corps provides career services for job placement upon completion of the program. Visit their website for more information.
